As a foreign service officer, it is my goal to reflect positively on the wonderful institution that employs me.  With this, comes great responsibility. And a recognition that there may perhaps be other blogs that deal with issues of diplomacy far better than I can at this time.

I have always hoped those who come to this blog view it as a personal blog, a record of my adventures as a global nomad bent on having a wonderful time in my happy-go-lucky way.  I intend to continue to inform my friends and family of our experiences, but perhaps a different, more private, outlet is appropriate for such musings.  (You guys know who you are and will continue to get my updates in one form or another)!

I urge those of you who are interested in continuing to receive my random writings to leave me your contact info, so that I may reach out to you separately.  Otherwise, I will take a look at continuing this blog in the future.
